Amanda ‘Mandi’ Rafanello

Mandi is a strong believer that growth only comes when you leave your comfort zone and surround yourself with people from different backgrounds. This applies to her life personally and professionally and can come in the form of visiting new cities, trying new hobbies, or taking on new responsibilities. She believes that stepping away from your ‘expertise’ allows you to bring diversity of thought to new groups, aiding their business development, while building your own skillset.

Mandi is an Associate Consultant within the Procurement and Strategic Sourcing practice. She specializes in category strategy, opportunity assessments, stakeholder management, competitive event execution, and negotiating. Her focus is in the marketing and travel categories with the ability to act as a generalist through her strong procurement capabilities. She has a strong desire to not only help execute policy and processes, but to also help drive efficiencies within them.

Prior to Acquis, Mandi worked as a Business Transformation Consultant within IBM’s Procurement BPO practice. She performed travel and marketing category management activities for her client base within various industries including technology, consumer products, manufacturing, life sciences, and more. With a desire to grow through new opportunities and the people around her, she also uses her time mentoring and being mentored by employees to understand and socialize different mindsets.

Mandi’s career in supply chain started at Pennsylvania State University’s Smeal College of Business where she earned a B.S. in Supply Chain and Information Systems (SCIS) and worked as a Teaching Assistant in a SCIS course.
